Why we are building Ares Horizon
Europe's defence supply chains are becoming more complex, but the compliance infrastructure around them has not kept pace. Here is what we heard at this summer's industry events.
Over the past weeks, we have had the opportunity to attend several defence and security industry events, including Dentons Defence Days, Warszawskie Targi Obronne, Navy Days 2026 and Granice 2026.

Through our conversations with companies across the defence sector, we started noticing a clear pattern.
Supply chains are outpacing compliance infrastructure
Europe's defence supply chains are becoming more complex, but the compliance infrastructure around them has not kept pace.
Companies are being asked to manage growing requirements around supplier verification, ownership structures, sanctions exposure, component origin, contractual compliance, offsets, localization and broader supply-chain risk — often with fragmented tools, manual processes and limited visibility beyond direct suppliers.

This is why we are building Ares Horizon
Ares Horizon is a compliance operating system for defence companies. It helps teams manage supplier risk, ownership structures, sanctions exposure, component origin, contractual obligations, localization and offset requirements, and audit-ready evidence in one secure platform.
We are looking forward to working with defence companies, advisors and industry partners to help build the compliance infrastructure Europe's defence supply chain needs.
